Zane Grothe is an American distance freestyle specialist from Boulder City, Nevada. At six weeks old, Grothe was already in the pool learning water safety, and two decades later he was swimming for USA. Grothe comes from a swimming family with his older sister Alexis and younger twin sisters Natalie and Rachael all involved in the sport.

During his time at Boulder City High School, Grothe swam for Boulder City Henderson Swim Club where he developed into a five star recruit. He chose to swim collegiately at Auburn University where he studied Aerospace Engineering. He currently trains with the post-graduate group at Indiana University.

After a slow but steady progression up the national ranks from 2011 to 2017, Zane busted thru to official prominence as crushed the American Records in the 500yd free (4:07.25) and 1650 free (14:18.25) at the age of 25.  As the new King of US Distance, Zane now looks poised to help Team USA win several medals in Tokyo 2020.

KRISTY KOWAL

Kristy won the silver medal in the 200m breaststroke at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.  She is also a 2-time World Champion (1998) in the 100 Meter breaststroke and on the 400 medley relay, where she also won the silver in the 200 meter breaststroke.

She has won multiple international swimming medals in addition to braking 8 American Records and 1 World record during her career.

Kristy was the first American woman to win the World Championship title in the 100 meter breaststroke and also the first American woman to break the one minute barrier in the 100 yard breaststroke.

Originally from Reading, PA she has been teaching elementary school for 15 years and now loves helping children reach their potential in school and in the pool!
