10th Annual State of the Heart Symposium

The State of the Heart program has been specifically designed for general practitioners, specialists, pharmacists, technicians and other allied health professionals who have a particular interest in cardiovascular disease. This program covers the latest topics in cardiovascular and metabolic disease, guidelines, late-breaking clinical trial results, and addresses patient care issues encountered in daily practice.  For the past 10 years,

CCRN has hosted an outstanding faculty of Canadian leaders that provided excellent teaching and opportunity for group discussion surrounding real-world implications of the current evidence. Once again we will offer an excellent program with top faculty in 2019.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify strategies for managing cardiovascular risk
  • Define appropriate treatment strategies for patients with HF, AF, ASCVD and valvular heart disease
  • Apply current treatment management therapies for both primary prevention and high risk patients
  • Discuss current and new glucose-lowering agents, management of risks and CV outcomes
