Authors, authors everywhere! And all the book lovers sigh….
If you can read it, you can dream it. And on March 9, a favorite recurring dream comes true for Hill Country book lovers when seven Texas authors are honored at the Friends of the Buverde/Spring Branch Library Book & Author Luncheon.
San Antonio author Diane Gonzales Bertrand will emcee this year's event, after being a featured author last year.
The six other celebrated authors cut across several genres this year and include fiction and non-fiction, but goes beyond that divide with paranormal research, military history and the always popular mystery and suspense.
Jeff Abbott Trust Me
Patrick Brady Deadmen Flying
Oscar De Los Santos Spirits of Texas and New England
Leila Meacham Roses
Andrew Porter Theory of Light and Matter
Karen Valby Welcome to Utopia
Doors will open at 11:00 to book sales/signings until 12:00 noon and then sales/signings will continue again after author talks. Author books will be available for sale courtesy of Twig bookstore. Lunch will be served at noon. Immediately following the sit down meal, authors will each speak for about 15 minutes. Also this year we will have a silent auction of numerous baskets.
Proceeds benefit the Bulverde/Spring Branch Library and will be used for educational materials.
This fundraiser is hosted by the Friends of the Bulverde/Spring Branch library, a 501(c)(3) organization.
