About the ‘Aipono Restaurant Awards:

Now in their 15th year, the ‘Aipono Restaurant Awards are the first high-profile dining awards devoted entirely to Maui. They are awards of honor and distinction determined by our readers—the residents and regular visitors of Maui. The prestigious Chef of the Year title is decided by peer review—voted on exclusively by Maui chefs.

The annual ‘Aipono Restaurant Awards Gala proudly serves Maui's restaurant and hospitality professionals with a celebratory evening they can call their own. Restaurant owners are encouraged to bring their managers, chefs, and staff to participate in the festivities. The awards presentation is a benefit for the UH Maui College’s Culinary Arts Program. Ticket sales generate vital, unencumbered funds for the school, as well as scholarship money. Students enjoy the invaluable experience of working alongside sponsor restaurant chefs in preparation for the gala’s dinner.

Throughout the year, Maui No Ka ‘Oi's ‘Aipono Wine Dinner Series generates additional funds by bringing the industry’s top winemakers to ‘Aipono Award-winning restaurants.

Earthlings! Join us for a gastronomic celebration when we honor Maui's culinary stars—as voted by our readers. Aliens welcome! Celebrating 15 years of culinary excellence on Maui.
