Hui Pu: Breaking New Ground
Diocese of Hawai'i Summer Youth Camp Program
Register here for the premiere year of this new camp experience!

This camp is designed with youth in mind and gives participants the opportunity to experience God through nature and camping while developing friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime.  The programming includes such activities as a ropes course, beach art, night fishing, hikes, scavenger hunts, and much, much more, all while developing and fostering faith and spirituality and embracing Hawaiian culture and beauty. Youth will explore different ways of worship through music and art and friendships.

The theme for 2013 is “Breaking New Ground”,
and it is guaranteed to be an unforgettable event!

There are two camp sessions:

'OPIO (meaning youth)
For students entering grades 9-12, July 5-11, 2013
Camp cost: $300.00

LOKAHI (meaning unity)
For students and entering grades 4-8,  July 12-14, 2013
Camp cost: $150.00

BECOME A KOKUA COUNSELOR:  We also have an opportunity for up to 8 youth from the older 'Opio group to become Kokua, similar to junior counselors, for the younger session of camp.  Applicants should be entering grades 10 - 12, and interested in leadership and role medling for younger youth.  Be sure to mark your interest in becoming a Kokua counselor through the registration link so that an application form can be sent to you.  There is leadership training already planned into the programming of the ‘Opio camp.  Kokua will stay the entire time of camp, as participants the first week, then serving as leaders for the Lokahi session, with more team bonding and leadership training immediately prior to the Lokahi session. If you would like to apply to become Kokua, download the form by clicking on the KOKUA APPLICATION link below:
