EfM Mentor Training 

Education for Ministry (EfM) will be offering a weekend mentor training beginning on Friday, May 24 at 2:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 26, 2019, at the St. Anthony's Retreat Center in Kalihi.

Cost for the training is $230 and includes all meals.  If you plan to stay at the the retreat center, the cost is $80 ($40 per night). Air travel is not covered.

What is Education for Ministry? It is is a four-year program in religious studies and reflection from the School of Theology at the University of the South. Participants enroll one year at a time, meeting weekly in a small group (no less than 6 people, no more than 12), with a trained mentor.

The EfM mentor brings skills in working effectively with small groups. Responsibility for the life of the group life belongs to everyone, but the mentor is the convener as well as being a group member.

Every baptized person is called to ministry. The Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out that ministry.Through study, prayer, and reflection, EfM groups move toward a new understanding of the fullness of God's kingdom.
