The Great Tennessee River Rescue

Sign up to pick up trash from your nearest creek, stream, river or lake. Invite your friends to participate in this statewide event hosted by Tennessee Environmental Council, Cumberland River Compact and TennesseeRiverRescue.org.  Clean up our rivers & streams, and improve water quality downstream from the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

This is a bring-your-own-trash-bag event.  We are counting on you to pick a location, and invite a few friends to come to your local creek, stream, river or lake and pick up litter... or just clean up the streets in your neighborhood.

This registration form is our way of capturing your info and sharing your efforts with the world.  Please fill out out all the required info on this online form, go clean up your location on 10/3, and post pictures on our Facebook page afterwards.

Here's How to Participate:

1) Click the "register now" button above, and fill out this registration form

2) pick a location to clean up

3) invite friends to join you

4) on 10/3, bring trash bags, wear gloves, wear good shoes and appropriate attire, and go pick up litter

5) be sure to take pictures and/or video clips of your work

6) at the end of your clean-up, note the number of trash bags and estimated total weight

7) post pictures/video and your results on our Facebook page

8) recycle the recyclables, and dump the rest

Please be safe out there -– do not pick up anything that looks dangerous.

Have fun!
