Why Support Music at the Mission

YouTube LOGO

Since 2005, MUSIC AT THE MISSION has been dedicated to enriching the growth and vitality of the Tri-City Area through the presentation of vibrant classical chamber music concerts that aim to engage, educate, challenge and excite. Through its concerts at historic Old Mission San Jose in Fremont,  its intimate Salon Series performances in local homes and its educational Outreach Performances Program, MUSIC AT THE MISSION continually strives to uphold artistic excellence, create greater access for the local community and explore innovative opportunities that will nurture the audience of tomorrow and help support the growth of a dynamic and culturally rich community.

"Our children are our future..." a sentence that we all believe in! The benefits of exposure and education in the arts are countless and priceless. MUSIC AT THE MISSION has created its educational Outreach Performance Programs that reach Junior High School and High Schools in the Tri-City Area by bringing professional artists to the local schools to perform and interact with the students. This past year, MUSIC AT THE MISSION was able to reach over 800 students and has received grant support from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation and Target for its Educational Outreach Performance Programs.

Each year, however, MUSIC AT THE MISSION must endeavor to raise enough funds to sustain its operations and continue its programs. Ticket sales make up only a small fraction of the costs to produce concerts and bring artists to the schools. As a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization, MUSIC AT THE MISSION is supported through grants, donations and fundraisers such as the upcoming 2012 Venetian Masquerade Ball on Friday, April 27th, 2012.
