Thank You Fiesta Arts Fair Volunteers!

Volunteers have supported the Southwest School of Art's coummunity programs during

Fiesta Arts Fair for 39 years.  We have the best volunteers and can't thank you all enough.

It's because of you that this event is so successful and attracts art-lovers from all around

to enjoy such a unique fair with Fiesta flair!  We value your time and hope your volunteer experience with us is both positive & rewarding. We extend a sincere "thank you" from all

of us here at SSA and look forward to working with you during Fiesta Arts Fair 2012.

Fiesta Arts Fair Gate

Duty Requirements

Shifts are 2.5 to 3 hrs long. Minimum age requirement is 16, unless prior approval is obtained by Volunteer or Area Coordinator.  Must be able to focus on assigned duties for entire shift. Also, we regret that children can not accompany volunteers during their shift.

Amenities

All volunteers receive free admission to the fair, 2 drink coupons (redeemable at volunteer station) per shift, a 10% discount on t-shirts and $2 off medals. Volunteers working 3 or more shifts receive a parking pass, a 20% discount on FAF t-shirts, and an invite to exclusive artist party Saturday night.

Duty Descriptions

Admissions - Sell tickets for entry to the Fair. Must be at least 18 yrs old and able to focus on dealing with the public & handling money.

Artist Hospitality - Maintain the hospitality suite for Exhibiting Artists only. This area is provided for artists to be able to take a break and enjoy light snacks and refreshments.  Also responsible for keeping area neat and well-stocked.

Artist Relief - Provide booth-coverage for exhibitors. Requires a lot of walking.

Children's Art Garden - Assist lead artist in guiding children with their art projects. Please wear appropriate clothing because art can be messy!

Coupons - Sell coupons redeemable for food, drinks & kids activities. Must be at least 18 yrs old, able to focus on dealing with the public and money exchange.

Floater - Be available for placement in most-needed areas.

Gate Ticket Scanning/Handouts - Scan advance tickets and greet people entering fair.  Offer information booklets containing schedule of events & map.

Set-up - Exhibiting artists need help with booth set-up on Friday, April 20th.  

Volunteer Booth - Assist with coordination of volunteer check-in, name tags, drink coupon distribution, and guiding people to assigned areas.  At least 1 year Fiesta Arts Fair volunteer experience preferred.
