Yavneh Day School is proud to present "Golden Dream", an original musical that celebrates over 500 years of Jewish American history! When Rebecca Gratz, Meyer Guggenheim, Bella Abzug and their friends meet in a current day timeline (a la Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure) and open an advertising agency, they have to come up with an impressive campaign to dazzle their biggest client, Lady Liberty, who wants to enhance Jewish pride and people's Jewish identity as Americans. The result? A nostalgic trip back in time to witness the birth of a nation through what else...musical theatre! America and Broadway come alive with comedy (based on the writings of humorist Stan Freberg) and a memorable soundtrack that underscore the triumphs and achievements of our Jewish founders. The production features students from 2nd-8th grade as well as members of the Yavneh Day School faculty performing original scenes and classic songs from favorite Broadway musicals like "Oklahoma", "Annie", "West Side Story", "Guys and Dolls", "My Fair Lady", and more.

Performances are Thursday, March 9th at 7 pm and Friday March 10th at 1:15 in the APJCC Auditorium on the Levy Family Campus; presented with a 15 minute intermission.
