FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:  When do the gates open for show cars to enter?
A The gates will open at 7:00am for vehicles entered in the show and will close promptly at 10:00am

Q:  Will there be day-of-show registration?
AUnfortunately, no.  The show usually sells out by the end of March, so please register early!

Q:  How much does it cost to register?
A:  Registration is $45 per vehicle.

Q:  Is there any charge for spectators?
ANo.  The show has always been FREE to the public!

Q:  Do all of the cars have to stay in place until 3:00?
AYes.  This is both for the safety of the general public and for the vehicle entered.  We also strongly discourage people from revving their engines during the show.

Q:  Will the show vehicles be allowed to put up any pop-up tents, canopies, or umbrellas?
AUnfortunatey, no they may not.  This is due to safety and liability issues that may arise.  There have been many instances in the past where one of these items have toppled and caused damage to a display vehicle.  We do, however, allow hand-held umbrellas.  If the weather is sunny and hot, we advise anyone attending to plan accordingly.

Q:  Can I bring my dog to the show?
AWhile we love our four-legged friends, Knott's has a strict policy regarding pets on the premises, however they do allow service animals.  Please be mindful of the weather on the day of the show.

Q:  Can we film the show using a drone?
AUnfortunately, no.  Knott's has a very strict policy regarding the use of drones on their property.  You can take as many pictures and video as you like with your traditional cameras.

Q:  Will I be able to park together with my car club, if we're in the same class?
AIf you wish to park with your friends or car club, we recommend that you get in line as a group and enter the show together.  There are no reserved spaces.

Q:  Can I tow my car into the show?
ANo.  We will not have any additional space available to accomodate a tow vehicle.

Q:  How soon can registered show vehicles get in line?
AMany of our volunteers arrive before dawn on show day and have noticed cars beginning to line up.  We recommend arriving as early as you are able to, in order to enter and be parked in your class quickly.

Q:  If I have a question regarding my entry, prior to the day of the show, who would I contact?
AOur contact information is located in the box to the left, just underneath the map.  You can call us or send us an email.  We will do our best to respond to you as quickly as possible.

Q:  We plan on bringing the family and staying near the park.  Is there a hotel discount available?
AYes.  There is a discount code available on our website for the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel.

Q:  I have a really cool display sign that I want to show next to my car.  Will I be able to?
AWhile we think these signs are cool, we do not allow any display signs, mirrors, carpeting, or "For Sale" signs in the show area.  This is to protect your vehicle from damage and prevent any accidents with spectators.

Q:  I heard that there have been some changes to the show lot.  What changes have been made?
AThe BIGGEST change has been the expansion currently under construction at Knott's Soak City water park.  Due to this expansion, we have lost some of the parking that we had near the water park.  To accomodate the loss of spaces, Knott's has acquired additional space near the former Stanton entrance.  Also, some improvements have been made to the existing parking lot.  All of the spaces have been restriped and repainted.  These improvements will help us with parking during the show.

Q:  Did the Stanton entrance close?  Where will we enter the show now?
AAs part of the realignment of the parking lot, the gate used to enter the show (the Stanton entrance), has been permanently removed.  The new entrance to the show lot for registered entries will be the Northbound Beach Boulevard entrance.  The best way to line up for this entrance is the same way everyone currently lines up:  along La Palma Ave, to Stanton Ave, south to Crescent Ave (turning right), then north along Beach Blvd.  The entrance is just past the bus stop near Independence Hall.

Q:  With the changes to the parking lot, have the exits changed?
ANo, the exits from the parking lot have NOT changed.  The large portion of the lot will still exit along La Palma Ave.  The smaller portion of the lot will continue to exit via Stanton.
