The Dutch are working with Americans to support the development and implementation of best practices in environmentally friendly active transportation networks. As we transition from an economy dependent on oil and gas to one driven by renewable energy sources, Dutch and American innovators are leading the way toward the future for sustainable transportation.
The Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in cooperation with the Miami-Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization and the City of Miami, will host a 2-day event - the ThinkBike Workshop - on Monday, May 2nd and Tuesday, May 3rd, 2011.
The opening session will be kicked off by the Consul General of the
Netherlands, Mr. Joseph Weterings. State, County and City staff, press, local
decision makers, press, advocates, community centers, bicyclists and citizens are invited.
There is no cost, but advance registration is required.
