Overview: As a business owner, every business transaction you make impacts accounting. What's more, your business may be subject to taxes you are unaware of. These are just two important reasons it is never too early to develop your accounting and tax reporting procedures.
This course will cover accounting and tax basics by offering explanations and definitions of both disciplines and reviewing examples relevant to business owners llike you. It is meant to be interactive so that the information presented and discussions apply to your real-life business needs. There will be lecture as as well as time for questions and answers.
Instructor: Kenya Smith, EA, is the owner of AALLC, a tax and accounting firm located in northern Delaware. She serves small business entrepreneurs and individuals by bringing more than 20 years of accounting and tax experience to each client. Kenya received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Saint Joseph’s University. In addition, she is an Enrolled Agent, the highest credential bestowed by the Internal Revenue Service. Her enrolled agent status has earned Kenya the privilege of practicing and representing taxpayers before the IRS to resolve taxpayer issues.
