Torah Umesorah Academy for Leadership and Fundraising

Dear Applicant

The Torah Umesorah Leadership and Fundraising Academy (TULFA) is an exciting new educational experience that will surely lead to a successful career in yeshiva/day school administration and fundraising.  You will be taught by proven professionals and will also have the opportunity to be coached and mentored by Executive and Development Directors in a real-time school setting.

The TULFA mission is to fill the current void of skillful yeshiva executives in administration and fundraising.  We will develop new leaders for our communities through a powerful curriculum taught by highly motivated and accomplished professionals.  The curriculum is tailor-made to address a yeshiva’s needs using “best practices”.  Thus, you will be:

  • Exposed to “in the trenches” experience
  • Armed with the necessary knowledge
  • Trained in the skills needed to become effective leaders who are well versed in:
    • School operations
    • Community relationships
    • All aspects of fundraising

As a graduate of TULFA you will be well prepared to start your career in communal service and Torah Umesorah will work with you to find an appropriate position.  The opportunities ahead are great and you will be making a major contribution to sustaining our yeshivas and schools.

Enrollment is limited and all applicants must go through an interview process. I look forward to meeting you to discuss our TULFA program and to hear about you and your aims.  If you have any questions I am available through the Torah Umesorah offices.

Sincerely,

Dennis Me. Eisenberg
Program Director

A Letter from Rabbi Dovid Nojowitz of Torah Umesorah

Torah Umesorah was founded to establish, develop, enhance and support Torah chinuch in North America.  While most of our training programs are tailored for principals and teachers, we recognize that the success of a school is dependent upon having a complete staff of capable, qualified and dedicated individuals – both on the educational and administrative areas.

One of the key components, as we well know, is the ability for a school not only to be efficiently run, but to raise sufficient funds.  The Executive and/or Development Director is the key figure in assuring such.  We therefore have embarked upon offering a unique opportunity in arranging and offering a professional training course for Executive and Development Directors, which includes not only course material, but coaching and mentoring in a real-time school setting.  This opportunity is a win-win situation for individuals who are seeking employment opportunities, and for schools who are seeking trained and qualified individuals to fill this position.

Wishing you continued hatzlacha,

Rabbi Dovid Nojowitz
National Director, Torah Umesorah
