They are under the hashgacha of the Vaad Hakashrus of the Five Towns and for the Convention only they will also be under Tartikov Beis Din. If you have any questions about Kashrus or hashgacha, please call Chap-a-Nosh directly at 516-374-5100.

Play Group/ Day Care Information:

To afford our delegates the opportunity to attend sessions comfortably, we have engaged a cadre of responsible high school girls to care for your children during session times. In order to take advantage of this service, please make sure you have registered your child using the Child Care Registration Form. The fee is $25 per child.

Babysitters will NOT be available during any of the meals, except Shalosh Seudos. We strongly recommend that you take advantage of Shalosh Seudos babysitting services.

Two important rules from our Babysitting Coordinator:

  1. Please label all objects that will be dropped off in the room, such as carriages, bottles, etc.
  2. If your child has allergies, please inform the babysitting staff upon arrival.
  3. Experience has shown that it is in your child’s best interest to leave him/her for no more than two hours at a time with a half hour break before he/she returns.

One-on-One Consultations:

Once again, we will be offering One-on-One Consultations with veteran mechanchim and mechanchos. To arrange an appointment, please contact Rabbi Chaim Wein at the Torah Umesorah office, 212-227-1000, ext. 4544 or email him at cwein@torah-umesorah.org.

Other Details:

We will be validating parking. Please see the TU hospitality desk for validation.

The swimming pool will be available for convention guests with specific separate hours. The times will be determined closer to the Convention date and will be posted in the session description booklets as well as in the main lobby and on the doors to the pool as well.

If you would like a recording of any of the sessions, you may purchase CD’s or MP3’s at the Torah Umesorah Recording Booth located near the booths at the Convention, or place your order for a custom-made MP3/CD-ROM of specific sessions.  A complete CD with all Convention sessions will also be available (post-Convention) for order at a reduced rate.

Members of Hatzolah will be in residence at the hotel in case of a medical emergency, Chas V’Shalom.  Should you have a need for this service, please call the main hotel front desk

Mikvah Information:

       Mikvah (For Women):

The closest Mikvah is The Minnie Manger - Marcia Lieberman Mikvah, 301 Strawberry Hill Ave

in Stamford, CT.

The use of the Mikvah is by appointment only. Please call the appointment line - (203) 964-1928 at least 24 hours in advance. The mikvah attendant will call you back to schedule a time. Fee is $25.

       Mikvah (For Men):

Swimming pool for men’s Mikvah will be open Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 6:00am- 8:00am, and Shabbos morning 6:30-10:00 AM and Friday afternoon.

Hadlokos Haneiros:

Candle lighting will take place at 7:52 pm in the main lobby, near the front entrance.

We kindly ask that the women bentch licht using the inner candles first, so that no one need to reach over lit candles to light. We also ask that women not congregate around the lighting tables. It gets crowded rather quickly and can, chas v’shalom, become a huge sakana.

Bais Medrash:

We have, once again, dedicated a room in the hotel as a Bais Medrash throughout the entire convention.
The Nathan Hale Room, on the first floor, is reserved for learning. There are seforim, which belong to the hotel,   directly across the hall, in the library. Please make sure to return the seforim to the library when you are finished.

Lost & Found:

If you should lose an item at the Convention, please check with the Hospitality Desk if your item has been found and returned.  If items remain unclaimed, they will be brought back to the Torah Umesorah Headquarters in Brooklyn, NY. After 30 days, all items will become hefker.
