Introducing USOD Sibshops: Workshops for Siblings of Individuals with Special Needs!
USOD is proud to announce their new Sibshops program! Sibshops is a nationally acclaimed program that provides peer support within a recreational environment. It's designed to celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of kids with special needs! Each workshop encourages kids to participate in site based activities that encourage sharing, laughter and fun! Kids will have a chance to meet other kids whose brothers and sisters have special needs, talk, share ideas and have FUN!
Age Range: 7 - 12 years old **Advanced registration is required & space is limited!
- Hang out with other kids that know how they feel
- Do some fun activities
- Have a safe place to talk about good times, challenging times, embarrassing times and the prideful times of having a sibling with special needs
- Celebrate being a sib!
Sibshops will be run by Laurie Kowalski, Catie Campana, & Gina Mitchner, credentialed Sibshops facilitators, and other individuals who have a personal understanding of the impact a child's special needs can have on brothers and sisters.
