Health Care Reform has ushered in an era of integration that is changing the service delivery landscape for substance use, mental health and primary health care providers.  The new focus is on behavior changes required to prevent and manage chronic diseases, and reduce the skyrocketing costs associated with them.

Join us for Treat Them Well, a two-day training that will provide you with a thorough understanding and hands-on experience in the use of powerful behavior change skills, including Screening, Brief Intervention, Motivational Interviewing and Appreciative Inquiry, along with strategies for coaching behavior change across multiple treatment settings.

Ray DiCiccio, MSW, CWC, is a Certified Health & Wellness Coach with Wellcoaches Corporation and a partner in R&R Consulting, providing technical assistance and training for individuals and organizations. He has over twenty years experience in program development, staff training and administration in the substance abuse and health care fields. He currently directs Screening and Brief Intervention, Health/Wellness and Recovery Coaching Training Programs for Metro United Methodist Urban Ministry (Metro) and consults with ONTRACK Program Resources, Inc. to increase capacity for providing these services statewide Recently he was Project Director and Principle Investigator for a nine million dollar SAMHSA funded grant, the California Screening and Brief Intervention Referral and Brief Treatment Project (CASBIRT) at San Diego State University and a Screening, Brief Intervention and Health coaching program funded by the Paradise Valley Community Health Fund. Under his direction the CASBIRT program developed cost effective screening, brief intervention and health coaching services that help patients and clients identify and change risky behaviors that cause or aggravate chronic disease and other debilitating problems. He has developed unique training, data collection and supervision strategies and techniques that empower substance abuse professionals and health care workers to employ effective screening and brief intervention as well as coaching services with fidelity and integrity.

Rosalind C. Corbett, MS, RAS, Member of MINT, graduated with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Atlanta University, and is a Registered Addiction Specialist (RAS) and a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT).  She is an outstanding trainer with particular emphasis on motivational interviewing, cultural competency and co-occurring disorders.  Rosalind has extensive experience managing social service programs and supervising staff and interns in the fields of co-occurring and complex disorders, mental health and addiction recovery.  She was, most recently Project Director of a five year, five million dollar SAMHSA grant serving homeless women with co-occurring disorders.  She was Assistant Director and Program Supervisor of a Mental Health Crisis Center for many years where she recognized the impact of co-occurring disorders and complex behavioral health issues, on the lives of individuals, families and communities.  She was Program Director for a residential treatment facility for women in Wilmington, DE, and Assistant Director of Career Development for Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.  She is a founding member and trainer with the San Diego County CADRE (Change Agents Developing Recovery Excellence) "Train the Trainer" group, with the mission of implementing integrated treatment services for mentally ill substance abusers, among all county contracted services.
