HO209 Delivering Effective Financial Education for Today's Consumer - Training May 2,3, and 4

Join us for an important training to provide financial education for clients. The training takes place on May 2-4, 2017. This three-day training is happening concurrently with the Maryland Community Action Partnership Annual Conference.

This is the last training in a series for certification from NeighborWorks. However, if you are interested in just this course, we'd love to have you. You do not need the previous courses in the series to take this course.

Here is the course description from the NeighborWorks website:

"Seeking financial security, today's consumer is searching for real-time information on how to maneuver through the maze of financial products and services, establish or rebuild credit, reduce debt and save for the future. Helping clients reach their potential through a variety of services has never been more essential. This course addresses the fundamental components to successfully delivering a well-designed financial education program, starting with group education and the primary ways consumers behave with their money: visioning; maximizing income; spending; saving; borrowing and protecting. Participants explore growing industry trends surrounding comprehensive "financial capability" programs, lifestyle changes, counseling, coaching and measuring outcomes. Educators and non-profit leadership will learn some of the most current practices in implementing an effective and sustainable program that best meets the needs of diverse audiences. Innovative strategies using a variety of delivery methods, including social media, will be explored, along with available resources."

Cost:  $200

This is a three day course. The price includes cost of the trainer, space for the traning, breakfast, snacks, afternoon break, and welcome reception on May 2nd. Lunch is on your own (the hotel is adjacent to Towson Mall and shops).

To stay overnight at the hotel, please reserve your room using the Maryland Community Action Partnership block.
