Kent Low Handicap 2020

       Western Hills Country Club

 

The Low Kent  is a one-day, four-ball stroke play competion.  Four players score with their two best balls at each hole. The lowest total score of the two best balls of the four competitors on each hole, net and gross, will determine the winners.

The field is limited to 72 players. Entries are open to amateur golfers who are members of a GCWGA member club, have posted ten (10) scores during 2019 and 2020, and have a current GCGA GHIN handicap index of 20.0 and less.  Handicaps will be adjusted for the slope/rating of the course and played to 85%, as suggested by the USGA for best-ball-of-four stroke play events. Team members do not need to be members of the same club. You must use the current handicap index at the time of registration.  The  handicap index  used for registration will be the handicap index used for the day of event play.   All players indexes must be "in range" at the time of registration.  

The Team Captain must register the entire team with the following information for each player:

              Name

              Email

              Ghin number and current Ghin index

              Home club.

              

Any registrations with incorrect information will be deleted. Registration may be resubmitted with correct information provided there are still openings.

Prizes will be awarded for top 3 gross winners, and top 3 net winners. Only one prize per team will be awarded.  Gross prizes will take precedence over net prizes.

Entry fee per team is $360 and includes cart fees, lunch for four and a $5 per player donation to the GCWGA Scholarship Foundation.

Each Team Captain must register and pay for her four-woman team. Please have ALL registration information available before you begin the process. Partial registrations will be deleted.

Team captains will receive an email confirmation of their registration and are asked to forward to their respective team members.  No refunds will be given after July 7th  or if unable to play on the rain date.  

Team captains will also be sent an email list of registrants and their Tee times after registration closes and the teams have been verified.

Continental Breakfast available from 7:30 am until 10:00 am.  It will be served by Western Hills staff.  

Salad Buffet will be available to all participants upon completion of their round. It will be served by Western Hills staff.   Prizes will be determined upon completion of all rounds.

Towels NOT provided -- bring your own.  Golf Range balls available for fee of $2 for a bag of 20.  You may purchase as many as you like.  Lemonade, Iced Tea, Water and bagged snack included at Snack Shack at the turn.

In registering for this event, you agree to the tournament regulations presented, acknowledge there are certain risks inherent in the game of golf, and accept personal liability for such risks. You agree that this entry is subject to rejection at any time by the GCWGA, including during the tournament. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct. If you do not agree with this statement, please do not proceed with this registration or contact the tournament director.
