The Kent High Handicap 2022

The Kent is a one day, four-ball stroke play competition. Four players score with their two best balls at each hole. The lowest total score of the two best balls of the four competitors on each hole, net and gross, will determine the winners. The field is limited to 72 players. Entries are open to amateur golfers who are members of a GCWGA member club, have posted ten (10) scores during 2021 and 2022, and have a current GHIN handicap index that is 20.1 or greater.

Handicaps will be adjusted for the slope/rating of the course with a maximum of 36 strokes no matter how high the player's index. The handicaps will be played at 85%, as suggested by the USGA for best-ball-of-four stroke play events. Players do not need to be members of the same club.

For registration you must use the handicap index at the time of registration. The handicap index used for registration will be the handicap index used for the day of event play. All players indexes must be "in range" at the time of registration.

Each Team Captain must register and pay for her four-woman team. Please have the following information for each player:
NAME, EMAIL, GHIN #, GHIN INDEX, HOME CLUB.

Any registration with incorrect information will be deleted. Registration may be resubmitted with correct information, provided there are still openings.

Prizes will be awarded for top three gross winners and top three net winners. Gross prizes take precedence over net prizes. Only one prize awarded per team.

Entry fee per team is $360 and includes cart fees, lunch for four and a $5 per player donation to the GCWGA Scholarship Foundation.

Team captains will receive an email confirmation of their registration and are asked to forward to their respective team members. No refunds will be given after July 3, even if you are unable to play on the rain date.

In registering for this event, you agree to the tournament regulations presented, acknowledge there are certain risks inherent in the game of golf, and accept personal liability for such risks. You agree that this entry is subject to rejection at any time by the GCWGA, including during the tournament. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct.
