Water Mitigating the Loss

This 2 hour course will take participants through the complete water damage mitigation process.  You will start by defining and listing the causes and sources of water damage.  Participants will then explore the preparation and training standards set forth by the IICRC S500 Standard and Reference Guide for Water Damage Restoration.  This will emphasize the proper techniques and advanced inspection tools used by the industry for proper water restoration.

Participants will examine the importance of water restoration response times and how it impacts a claim by reducing project time and overall cost of the restoration efforts.  Additionally, you will classify the stages of a water loss and the classes of water loss to analyze the type of remediation procedures needed for each stage and class.

Participants will breakdown the principles of drying and explore the equipment and methods used while learning the calculation methods used for appropriate drying procedures

Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 am with the course starting promptly at 8:00 am.
