Mid-Autumn NYC Harbor Cruise

JOIN US IN WELCOMING THE CCCWA TO NYC!

***NOTE: As the cruise is this Sunday, we are asking all families who have not paid yet to please do so by credit card. Payment can be made here.***

Families who have adopted from China are warmly welcomed to cruise the New York City Harbor with the current Deputy Director General, Ms. Gan Wei Wei, of the CCCWA and a delegation of 20 adoption officials from provinces throughout China.

This cruise will be a wonderful opportunity for the adoption officials to visit with the many children from China who have been adopted through the years and who are growing up in loving homes under the care of their families and communities.

To celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival there will be dance performances, games, activities and crafts for children of all ages.

A Chinese buffet-style luncheon will be served. Beverages including bottled water, soda, coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be available as well.

We are excited to announce that several SWI Directors will be joining the current Deputy Director General of the CCCWA, Ms. Gan Wei Wei, on the cruise. These Directors are looking forward to sharing the day with us and would be especially honored to meet the children who have been adopted from their province.

Help us decorate the ship with Chinese Lanterns! Please enjoy making one or more lanterns with your family in anticipation of this cruise – and bring along your lanterns for hanging around the ship! Lantern patterns are easily found online.

Youth volunteers are needed! -- Calling all children, 13 years of age and older, to help with some of the crafts/activities for the younger children! Tribute Quilt! Be sure to stop by the Quilting Station on the boat! Children will have the opportunity to use their artistic skills to design and create a square for the CCCWA tribute quilt. The quilt will be presented to the CCCWA later this year during NCFA's China Winter Tour.

Registration will remain open until we have reached capacity for the boat. At this time, we are no longer accepting checks, all attendees who have not paid will need to do so via credit card.
