Building a Mosaic: the Role of Power and Privilege in Community
Please join us as we welcome Roxy Manning, Ph.D. and CNVC Certified Trainer to Houston! Two days of diversity, power, privilege and nonviolence.
Lead trainer with the BayNVC Leadership Program, Roxy has helped participants from five continents deepen their understanding of Nonviolent Communication and learn how to more effectively share it with their communities. She has been lead organizer of the Nonviolent Leadership for Social Justice Retreat (formerly the NVC & Diversity retreat), a trainer since its inception in 2007, and a main organizer for the New York Intensive, which just completed it's 11th year. Roxy offers advanced training and coaching focused on NVC in clinical settings through BayNVC and the NVC Academy. These programs are tailored to the needs of mental health agencies and professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers. In addition, Roxy has worked with Bay area businesses and non-profits to increase their ability to function more cohesively as a team and to better understand and respond to client needs and requests.
