We invite you to join us, Thursday, April 16th, at The Tetherow Resort Event Pavilion for an evening of artful and delicious surprise, designed to honor the hardy and dedicated people who grow and raise our food in Central Oregon.
This will be an evening of artful and delicious surprise, featuring a photographic narrative of our farmers and ranchers, a silent auction, dessert dash, cocktails, local wine and beer, and a farm to table sit-down dinner featuring the local bounty of our region. The menu will be designed and prepared by Chef Miguel of Tetherow Resort.
This year’s theme is Farming: A Family Affair. Every family has a story. Every farm has a story. And 86% of Oregon’s farms are owned by families, many of them multi-generational. The long hours required during planting and harvesting, vast array of skill sets required, and constant threat of unforeseen circumstances requires a constant presence, and many hands. We are going to explore the intimate nature of the family farm, whether it be a family of origin, choice, or cohort, and how families must work together to ensure survival, bounty, and prosperity.
