Using the ARTIC Scale

In April 2016, the Attitudes Related to Trauma-Informed Care (ARTIC) Scale was released. It remains one of the only psychometrically-valid measures of trauma-informed care (TIC) available. In only two years, the ARTIC has been used by over 150 entities in 10 countries, translated into 4 languages, and administered to over 15,000 professionals.

In response to rapidly-increasing interest in the ARTIC Scale, this FREE webinar will provide updated information for those considering whether the measure may add value to their efforts to assess, implement, and research TIC in organizations, service systems, and whole communities.

This webinar will:

Describe the ARTIC Scale, the versions of the ARTIC, and how it fits within broader efforts toward measurement in the TIC field.
Review the 7 ARTIC subscales, what they mean, and how they can drive TIC decision-making within organizations.
Provide examples of how organizations are using the ARTIC Scale as they implement and research TIC.
Illustrate sample findings by organizations using the ARTIC and explain how they have utilized those findings to drive TIC change.

Steve Brown, Psy.D. is the Director of the Traumatic Stress Institute of Klingberg Family Centers, Coordinator of the Risking Connection Training Program, and co-developer of the ARTIC Scale. Through TSI's Whole System Change Process to Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), Steve consults and trains organizations internationally to transform their organizational culture to TIC.
