Vine to Wine 5K

If you were fortunate enough to experience the Autumn Toast 5K at Barren Ridge Vineyards this past September then you know what a special night that was! Well we are back with a new course, new wines…all of it paired with the same great acoustic music and one of the most spectacular sunsets the valley has to offer. This time around we will start in the vineyards, exit the winery and go left across St. James Road. The footing is mostly hard packed gravel but the course is FLAT.....you will finish quicker so you can start enjoying some of the new wine offerings Barren Ridge will be serving. McAllister’s Deli will once again be taking preorders for dinner for two or ten…..so get ready to sit back sip some wine, bathe in a mountain sunset and soak up the soulful sounds of Chris & Goose

What's Included...

Spectacular mountain views, a performance gender specific t-shirt, a commemorative wine glass & a post-race party with wine samplings of Barren Ridge Vineyard’s fantastic wines. There will be music, food and iced tea available for purchase from McAlister’s Deli. See below for more details about preordering your personalized post-race picnic basket.

The Course…

The out and back 3.1 mile route will start and end in the vineyards at Barren Ridge located in Fishersville, just a short drive off of route 250. The primary surface is hard pack gravel with a few sections of asphalt. The course is FLAT and is walker friendly with a water stop at the half way mark. Runners & walkers will start in the vineyards, exit the winery and go left, cross St. James Road, continue for about 1.5 miles turn around and retrace their steps to a downhill finish.

Post-race party…it’s more than just a run

If you are you a runner with a drinking problem or a drinker with a running problem….don’t worry this race is designed for both of your vices. Barren Ridge Vineyards experienced staff will be on hand to share with you their passion for their delectable vintages. New this year will be a wine purchasing station for those of you that have already decided your favorite spirit for the evening. You must be at least 21 years old to partake in the wine tastings so please bring proper ID.   Rounding out the evening will be the soulful sounds of Chris & Goose. So grab some friends, a picnic blanket and join us for a remarkable evening run!
