Spring is here and that means the Vine to Wine 5K at Barren Ridge Vineyards should be on your list of fun things to do! We are back with the same great mixture of running, relaxing and enjoying great wines paired with simply one of the best sunsets the Shenandoah Valley has to offer!
This mostly flat out-and-back course begins in the beautiful Barren Ridge vineyards, meanders along a hard-packed gravel country road and finishes back at Barren Ridge, with your finisher wine glass and wine tastings close at hand!
Rounding out the evening will be the soulful sounds of Chris & Goose. McAllister’s Deli will be taking pre-orders for dinner for runners and guests. So grab some friends, a picnic blanket and join us for a remarkable evening run!

The Course…
The out and back 3.1 mile route will start and end in the vineyards at Barren Ridge located in Fishersville, just a short drive off of route 250. The primary surface is hard pack gravel with a few sections of asphalt. The course is mostly flat and is walker friendly with a water stop at the half way mark. Runners and walkers will start in the vineyards, exit the winery and go left, cross St. James Road, continue for about 1.5 miles turn around and re-trace their steps to a downhill finish.
Post-race party…it’s more than just a run!
If you are you a runner with a drinking problem or a drinker with a running problem….don’t worry! This race is designed for both of your vices. Barren Ridge Vineyards experienced staff will be on hand to share with you their passion for their delectable vintages. There will be a wine purchasing station for those of you that have already decided your favorite spirit for the evening. You must be at least 21 years old to partake in the wine tastings so please bring proper ID. Rounding out the evening will be the soulful sounds of Chris & Goose...a local favorite and talented duo!
Dinner for two or ten?

In order to register more than one person you must enter different emails at the beginning of the registration process.

Packet pick up will be at Barren Ridge Vineyards on race day, June 8th, from 4:30 pm - 5:45pm.
