Communication skills are essential for successful law enforcement professionals, and especially in crisis encounters that can quickly escalate.

This course seeks to provide police officers with the tools, skills, and options they need for successfully deescalating crisis incidents.

This course explores current trends in de-escalation techniques and follows the foundations of the Law Enforcement De-Escalation Training Act of 2022, recently passed in congress and signed by President Biden.

This course helps officers become emotionally intelligentand situationally aware so they can respond effectively to others in crisis.

Officers will learn non-escalation techniques and tactically sound response methodology that will improve their communication and de-escalation skills and response options, reduce use of force incidents, and help build strong relationships in the communities they serve.
