Mentally Tougher for Healthcare Workers-Wednesday, June 28

Working in healthcare can wear you down mentally, but you can boost your brain's endurance. Mental toughness is not a singular trait. It is a collection of perfomance and resilence skills that help you reach and maintain optimal performance, face and cope with adversity, adapt to change, recover and learn from a setback, and grow from the experience. Just like phsical toughness is the result of proper training, mental toughness is the result of intentionally training the brain.

Presenter: Michael Sherman, Founder of Mentally Tougher, LLC-Michael has been involved personally with sports his entire life. He has an MS in Kinesiology with a Specialization in Sport and Performance Psychology from Miami University and is Level 3 Master Resilience Trainer from the University of Pennsylvania. Michael has developed mental toughness in Division I collegiate athletes and teams, professional athletes, UFC fighters, first responders, and corporate executives. Since 2015, Michael has been contracted by the United States Army as a Performance and Resilience Expert. In his time working with the Army, Michael has specialized in training mental toughness and leadership to soldiers all over the world.
