Abandoned residential properties in Oklahoma City cause about a $1.7 billion loss in property value to surrounding properties. It's estimated that about 12 percent of the buildings in the city are neglected and vacant properties. It’s a growing problem and it’s not going away. The City of OKC Planning Department wants to open a dialogue with neighborhoods; they have information to share about this blight on our city and want to hear your stories about how abandoned and vacant property affects you, your neighborhood and your property values.
