Women & Land Learning Circle:
Session 1: Wed, March 8 - "Conservation Planning: You and Your Land"
Session 2: Wed, April 5 – "Conservation on the Ground: Who Can Help?"
Session 3: Wed, April 19 – "Farming into the Future: Planning a Legacy"
All meetings will be held at Farm Credit of the Virginias at 4646 South Valley Pike in Harrisonburg VA from 4:30pm - 8:30pm. Cost for the entire program is $15.00 and included dinners. Pay at the door on March 8th.
This program will be different from any workshop you’ve attended in the past. “Women & Land” dispenses with lectures and presentations and instead focuses on sharing knowledge and experience. You’ll join a group of 15+ women landowners and conservation/ extension staff from your county. You’ll leave with the information, confidence and contacts to make informed decisions for your land and to obtain technical and financial assistance to protect/improve your natural resources.
Local conservation partners like the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service, Shenandoah Valley Soil and Water Conservation District, and Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension will also be part of this unique program. Please consider joining us for this very important and enjoyable conservation discussion and networking opportunity.
We expect demand to be high, so please submit your pre-registration as soon as possible to reserve your slot. All registrations will be contacted by Wed, March 2nd to confirm your attendance for the Learning Circle.
Attendance at ALL three sessions is strongly encouraged since you will be an active participant in deciding what will be discussed at each meeting and will develop mutually beneficial relationships with other outstanding women and natural resource organizations.
