We invite you to join us for three days of engaging discussion and fellowship focused on women landowners and natural resources management on our farms sponsored by the Piedmont Soil & Water Conservation District. The “Women & Land” Learning Circle is a program offered by the American Farmland Trust and designed for women landowners like you, who own and make management decisions on Virginia forest or farm land and would like more information and knowledge about assistance available to help them.
You are receiving this invitation because a community member or conservation professional thought you would be interested in the program, and that your perspective would add value to the discussion.

Session 3: Tues, June 6 – "Future of Your Farm: Planning a Legacy"
Location: To be determined

This program will be different from any workshop you’ve attended in the past. “Women & Land” dispenses with lectures and presentations and instead focuses on sharing knowledge and experience. You’ll join a group of 15+ women landowners and conservation/ extension staff from your county. You’ll leave with the information, confidence and contacts to make informed decisions for your land and to obtain technical and financial assistance to protect/improve your natural resources.
Local conservation partners like the Piedmont Soil & Water Conservation District, USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service and Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension will also be part of this unique program. Please consider joining us for this very important and enjoyable conservation discussion and networking opportunity.
We expect demand to be high, so please submit your pre-registration as soon as possible to reserve your slot. All registrations will be contacted by Tues, April 4th to confirm your attendance for the Learning Circle.
Attendance at ALL three sessions is strongly encouraged since you will be an active participant in deciding what will be discussed at each meeting and will develop mutually beneficial relationships with other outstanding women and natural resource organizations.
