Our Blue & White Picnic will kick-off the Second Wind Cottages project!

Something wonderful is happening in Ithaca!  The "Ithaca Jungle" went empty last winter, but the long-range challenge is to help formerly homeless residents find safe indoor housing year-round.

What would it be worth if we, as a Christian Community, could give hope to 6 formerly homeless men?  What would it be worth if we not only met their short-term housing needs, but also helped them regain healthy and productive lives?  And what would it be worth if the solution were "reusable" ... helping 6 men get housing and healthy lives, and then helping another 6 men, and another, again and again?

Second Wind Cottages is a vision to build small cottages located on the bus route near Ithaca, for formerly homeless men.  Land is being donated and construction of the first 6 cottages is set to begin in September, if funds can be raised for materials.

To read the Second Wind story visit:

As September begins, what better way to enjoy an evening than sharing a meal with friends?  Join us for food, music, and to hear the vision of how Second Wind Cottages will provide small but safe homes for the formerly homeless in Ithaca!

Visit with friends, enjoy a picnic meal in a special setting,
and hear about our big long-term vision from:
