Green Leasing: A Forum for Commercial

Real Estate Brokers

Green leasing has become a topic of conversation around the United States as part of the solution to further landlord and tenant sustainabillity goals.  Successful green leasing requires informed tenants, landlords, lawyers and brokers.  On September 10th, 2014, A Better City (ABC) and the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) will co-host a green lease forum for commercial real estate brokers, following up on the successful forum held in May in partnership with the Boston Bar Association.

This forum is being coordinated by the Boston Green Ribbon Commission's Commercial Real Estate Working Group, an organization working to support the City's efforts to meet community-wide long-term sustainability goals.  Increasing green leasing within the Boston commercial real estate sector is a key goal of the City's Climate Action Plan and will be critical to long-term efforts to improve building energy performance in Boston.

Why Attend:

During this event, IMT will review its national green lease efforts including a presentation on their U.S. Department of Energy supported Green Lease Leaders Program.  Local-area speakers will discuss ongoing and future green lease work in Boston.  The forum will serve as an opportunity for commercial real estate brokers to learn more about green leasing and to share their knowledge and experience from the Boston market with City policymakers.
