Kids in this camp will learn how to mix and apply a variety paints and other media like ink, crayon, chalk pastel, and oil pastel as well as experiment with a variety of methods like pouring, splattering, and drizzling. They will also learn how to transfer images, build up surfaces, add layers, and take away layers. Topping off the camp, is a number of games that will allow them to experiment with the properties of paint and discover mystery colors!
*All camps are recommended for ages 7-13 and are held from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily. Discounts are available to full-day registrants with friends or siblings! Rosanne Haaland has been teaching art and photography for over 20 years in venues ranging from homeschool co-ops, to private lessons, to the Governor’s School for the Arts, to the traditional classroom, and along with part time teaching is currently working as a professional photographer. Her love of the natural world is her primary inspiration and subject matter, and loves to highlight the beauty of creation through her art and photography.
