Please join us for our first ever Young Musicians of Alamance (YMA) Spring Benefit! On April 23 at 6:30 p.m., the doors of the Children’s Museum of Alamance County will open for an evening of good food, great music, and dancing. There will also be a raffle, an auction, and many interesting people to meet and greet – some for the first time, some you have known for years! Any children you bring will be able to enjoy all of the amazing activities the Museum offers.
This Benefit will provide opportunities for even more elementary school children from high poverty schools to join the 18 Young Musicians already enrolled from Eastlawn and North Graham Elementary Schools. All children enrolled receive high quality, intensive general and instrumental ensemble music instruction, as well as the use of instruments, at a very low cost. They will also have opportunities to perform in a variety of venues--opportunities they likely would not have without our YMA program. They will become members of a large, caring and sharing, family.
In addition to musical instruction, the children learn important social and behavioral skills:
With your support, they will develop positive self-image as they learn and improve musical skills!
Our community also benefits as these students grow up to be productive citizens and avoid the kinds of negative behaviors that cost communities dearly in talent, resources, and security.
Come out! Enjoy a gala evening! Treat the children in your life to the Museum’s magic while helping provide the YMA resources to involve many more children in this unique program.NOTE: YOU CAN PAY WITH PAYPAL WITHOUT HAVING TO LOG INTO OR CREATE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT.
