Strategies to Strengthen Families in Early Childhood Settings

Professional Learning Community

Professional Learning Community:
Educators are invited to participate in the following Early Education and Care and Out of School Time Professional Learning Communities (PLC).  During these sessions, educators will participate in reflective dialogue around a specific topic and discuss successes, challenges, and strategies that result in better programs for children in early childhood settings.   This is an opportunity to learn from, with, and on behalf of each other as early childhood and out of school time professionals.

PLC Description: Early education and care and out of school time programs play a vital role in supporting families, which in turn, can reduce child abuse and neglect.  In this session, participants will discuss current practices in support of strengthening families, as well as strategies to integrate additional supports into current programming.

Resources will include Strengthening Families & The Five Protective Factors and related resources.
