Dr. Laura Nasi, an integrative oncologist in private practice in Buenos Aires, is the author of the new book, Cancer as a Wake-Up Call. She will discuss how variables like lifestyle, nutrition, stress, exercise, sleep, and relationships can affect the psycho-neuro-immune-endocrine network to help our systems recognize, repair, and/or eliminate cancer cells.
Dr. Donald I. Abrams of UCSF's Osher Center for Integrative Medicine has endorsed Dr. Nasi's book and will be introducing her for the evening.
M. Laura Nasi, MD specialized in Internal Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia and in Clinical Oncology at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, was Clinical Research Coordinator for the International Breast Cancer Study Group in Bern and Research Director for a Swiss pharmaceutical company. Laura raised two "daughters of the heart" and now lives with her partner, Fernando, alongside a lake on the outskirts of Buenos Aires where she grows her own vegetables.
