This is a workshop on financial modeling so you will learn how to make predictions about your business's revenue, costs and profits over the next 12 to 36 months. 

In addition we will show how the model can be used to develop a strategy for meeting your business's growth objectives.

At this workshop you will learn:

  • How the financial forecast can become your business plan for growth
  • The forecast tools: the income statement, the balance sheet, and the cash flow statement
  • Example forecasts from service, retail, and manufacturing businesses

Presenter:  Dr. John Harmon

Dr. Harmon is currently Managing Director of Adulent Consulting Services which advises small and medium size business clients on growth and operating strategies.  His services include business plan preparation, financial forecasting, strategic plan development, sales and marketing plan development and execution and operations efficiency.  John has also held senior leadership and executive experience at Fortune 100 companies such as Eastman Kodak, the Gartner Group and Pitney Bowes in a variety of positions including sales, marketing, quality management, strategic planning and new business development.  He has served as a volunteer for SCORE, an arm of the Small Business Administration, where he has counseled small businesses on improving their business performance.  John is also an adjunct professor in the Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT.  He received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Rochester.
