Registration Fees:

The total cost is $3000.00 per grantee. IHSA is splitting this cost with you, making the total cost $1500.00 for the grantee. This does not cover the cost of travel to/from training events. Individual grantees would be responsible for their own travel costs. 

Please pay by credit card or make payment via check to IHSA - Illinois Head Start Association and mail to our offices at 3435 Liberty Drive, Springfield, IL. 62704. On the registation form, you can also indicate you will bring the check with you to the training. **Please note that payment is required before the training begins.**

Meals Provided:  A light breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided for both days.

Pyramid Model Leadership Training 

 

Congratulations again on your application being selected for the first cohort for the Pyramid Model opportunity on May 14 & 15, 2019!
NOW...WE NEED SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM YOU! 

To ensure we have all the correct logistics for the event (meeting room size, meeting room set up, food, handouts, etc.) we need to know your team leader and each additional person that is going to be part of your agency team.

Please submit this information ASAP but no later than next Wednesday, April April 24 2019. 

Before submitting, please read all the important information below!

  1. First, ONE PERSON should be designated as your TEAM LEADER. This person should be listed on the registration form as the team leader. The team leader will be the person we communicate with directly regarding any important information regarding the training. The team leader is responsible for passing the information along to the rest of their team. It is up to each Agency to decide who and how many people will be a part of their team for this training. 
  2. Your team leader (or another designated person) should hit the REGISTER NOW button below to register your entire team. Each agency team should only register ONE TIME. At this time, the team leader should be specified and each additional teammate attending (first and last name only) should be added under the "Additional Teammates" button on the registration form. We suggest teams stay between 4-6 people, but they can not exceed 8. 
  3. If you have any cancellations or name changes, please email them to Michelle Iocca at miocca@ilheadstart.org as soon as possible. We are kindly asking that after Wednesday, May 8th you do not cancel anyone on your team. After this date, food will be ordered and handouts will be made and we will not be able to  recoup these expenses with last minute cancellations. Name changes will be accepted up until the training. 
  4. Lastly, the price to attend this training is $1500.00 per agency. This fee includes everyone on your team. Payment must be received prior to the training or hand-delivered to IHSA when you arrive to the training. At the time of registering your agency team you will need to specifiy your payment method. You can pay with credit card during the registration process (WePay) or if you would prefer to submit payment by check, please indicate this option on the registration form and we will mail you an invoice. If you plan to hand-deliver the check to IHSA when you come to the training, please indicate this on the registration form by checking "At the Door".

You will receive:
 Access to Professional Development around the Pyramid Model.
 Teams from the selected programs will be supported as they move through the stages of implementation at the classroom, program and system levels.  Your team will be provided support for regular Leadership Team meetings to ensure the fidelity of implementation at the classroom and system levels. 
 External coaching to facilitate the leadership teams.
 Support for internal coaching around the Pyramid Model.
 Pyramid Model Practices training.
 Teaching Pyramid Observation Tool ( TPOT) reliability training;
 Prevent Teach Reinforce-Young Children (PTR-YC) training;
 Integration of early literacy strategies; and
 Family engagement practices embedding the Positive Solutions for Families approach.
Anticipated outcomes include:
1. Learn strategies to embed the Pyramid Model framework to provide universal and targeted interventions for supporting children’s social and emotional development and preventing, identifying, and addressing challenging behavior.
2. Learn strategies for building relationships with families to engage and include them in decisions around inclusion and supporting positive social emotional and behavioral skills for their child(ren).
3. Receive resources, tools, and data collection methods, aligned with your current curriculum, for developing appropriate practices to promote inclusive settings that meet the diverse needs of young children at risk.
