This one-day course presents information on new and emerging technologies in evoked potentials. These innovative approaches to traditional assessments contribute to higher quality data and improved clinical efficiencies. Presentations and interactive discussions of case examples include strategies to manage challenging testing environments, achieve success and produce quality data. The course is designed to appeal to audiologists working with both adult and pediatric patient populations. Content includes live demonstrations of new technologies and interactive discussions of case examples.
This is a two-day course that starts with a brief overview of triage of dizzy patients, terminology, and a review of the vestibular tests necessary to understand the cases that will be presented. This is an interactive course. Participants will be presented patient case histories and asked to share ideas and engage in deciding which vestibular test or tests are the most appropriate for the patient. The intended audience includes audiologists, technicians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals who are involved in clinical assessment and management of patients with vestibular and other balance disorders. Working knowledge of tradition tests such as VNG and basic familiarity with the new tests such as vHIT and VEMP are needed
