Supply Chain Risk Management Seminar:
Identify, Assess, Mitigate, and Manage Risk
Sponsored by APICS DC Metro
March 26, 2015 at WBB, Herndon, VA

“We have seen that disruptions to supply chains caused by natural disasters – earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions – and from criminal and terrorist networks seeking to exploit the system or use it as a means of attack can adversely impact global economic growth and productivity. As a nation, we must address the challenges posed by these threats and strengthen our national and international policies accordingly…”

President Barack Obama
National Strategy for Global Supply Chain Security, 2012

APICS DC Metro is pleased to present this full day seminar from APICS,  on “Supply Chain Risk Management,” where industry and government can continue the discussion on how we can strengthen our supply chains against global threats. The event is hosted by WBB, whose professionals have helped hundreds of clients successfully manage their most complex mission-critical business problems. The public sector has an equally vested interest with the commercial sector to protect supply chains serving the Dept. of Defense, along with other Federal and State entities.

This 7-hour event will give attendees a comprehensive look at managing, mitigating, and planning supply chain risk management for your organization. The seminar is the foundation of the new APICS Supply Chain Risk Management Certificate and provides 7 of the required 9 core topics toward the certificate.  It can be counted towards federal acquisition professionals’ requirement for continuous learning! The certificate requires a total of 12 hours of core and elective topics. Attendees at the seminar who continue to participate in an additional five hours of the core topics, either by attending APICS Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Oct 5-7, 2015 or by signing up for online webinars will have fulfilled the certicate’s requirements. Consider joining APICS to save $100 on your registration.
