KEYNOTE APRIL 3rd: Matt Hederstrom, Chief Executive Officer, Varley Group USA/Chief Development Officer, CTSi

Mr. Hederstrom has broad, 20-year experience in the government and commercial Aerospace and Defense space. After earning his Masters of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech, Mr. Hederstrom developed state-of-the-art control system designs for Lockheed Martin Skunk Works in Palmdale, CA. He then managed the Defense division of a small business designing and delivering tactical precision approach aids to support military and disaster relief operations. He successfully deployed the technology with not only with the US Marines and US Air Force, but also with the Royal Australian Air Force. Mr. Hederstrom leads the strategic direction of Varley USA, manages the day-to-day operations of the company, and is responsible for Varley’s continued growth in the US market, both organically and through strategic acquisitions.

KEYNOTE APRIL 4TH: Tracy Lamb, Vice President of Regulatory and Safety Affairs, Chief Pilot, Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International

Tracy brings 23 years of commercial flight experience and with Tracy’s leadership, AUVSI has worked with industry experts to create Trusted Operator Program (TOP). This program raises the trust and acceptance of the use of unmanned aircraft around the world. TOP is a professional unmanned systems community initiative aimed at supporting industry accepted remote pilot standards and protocols, which will result in the safe and sustainable advancement of the industry. Tracy has over 7000 flight hours as an International Airline pilot [Boeing 737], she is a Senior Certified Flight Instructor, a Charter Pilot in the Australian outback and Asia Pacific and also worked as an international corporate jet pilot.  She is a certified UAS pilot [USA & Australia], flying missions in the Agriculture, Mining, research and industrial plant installation sectors in Australia and in Europe.
