CROSS INDUSTRY COLLABORATION FOR ALASKA:
Collective impact and workforce development

I look forward to seeing you at the 2015 APICC Annual Membership Meeting & Conference. At this year's annual event we will focus on collaboration, and we'll be highlighting coordinated cross-industry efforts in workforce development.

We hope you will join us as the McDowell Group gives an update on developing a Cross-Industry Workforce Development Report, an analysis of Alaska's workforce priorities and strategies across sectors, including:

  • Oil and Gas
  • Mining
  • Healthcare
  • Maritime
  • Construction

Learn more about the challenges and opportunities ahead for Alaskan employers. Panelists from these industry sectors will join McDowell to discuss the occupations, skills, training, and strategies common across industries. They will share opportunities to work collaboratively, and how we can all make an impact on career awareness, education, and training, to benefit APICC partners and all Alaskans.

Following the panel discussion, we are pleased to welcome special guest speaker Commissioner Heidi Drygas, Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

We also look forward to keynote speaker, Jeff Edmondson, author and President of the Strive Network. Strive Network is a national cradle-to-career initiative that brings together leaders in Pre-K-12 schools, higher education, business and industry, community organizations, government leaders, parents and other stakeholders who are committed to helping children succeed from birth through careers.
