Fundraising with Social Media

Spencer Smith Presenter: Spencer Smith, founder of spencerXsmith.com and instructor at the University of Wisconsin

Objectives: Participants will learn how to -

  • Rethink how you are using social media to engage with your potential donors
  • Incorporate emerging social media tools into your strategy
  • Capture the attention of potential donors in a crowded digital realm

Spencer Smith is the founder of spencerXsmith.com and an instructor at the University of Wisconsin, where he teaches classes on Social Media Strategy.
He’s had the privilege of working with the world’s largest law firm (DLA Piper) and seven Fortune 500 companies – IBM, Kohl’s Corp, Kimberly-Clark, Oshkosh Truck, The Hartford, Nationwide, and American Family Insurance. He speaks at an average of 60 conferences and other events per year, and only teaches what he first has proven to work himself with his own business. He is also the winner of the Executive Choice Award from InBusiness Magazine for Best Social Media Consulting Company.

 Spencer has been called a "Digital Marketing Expert" by Forbes and writes columns for InBusiness Magazine, the Huffington Post, Marketing The Law Firm, and the American Bar Association.

AFP Greater Madison Cancellation and Refund Policy

In order for AFP Greater Madison to confirm meals and seating with the venue, cancellations must be received in writing via email or U.S. mail at least 48 business hours before the start of an event to be eligible for a full refund. No refunds will be made for requests received after that time, or by other means.  You may always send an alternate to an event without additional charge.
Refunds will be issued in the same form payment was made. Please allow two weeks for processing.
