Messaging Me:Using Message Development                 in Your Job Search 

Job interviews are full of open-ended questions that can trip up even experienced candidates. If "tell me about yourself" or "walk me through your resume" or "describe your career so far"  leave you tongue-tied--or just talking too long--this is the workshop for you. This two-hour, jam-packed session will share the secrets that public speakers use to:

• Develop crisp, concise, compelling messages -- in this case, about what you want to emphasize about yourself and your experience;
• Come up with a framework for your message that's easy for you to remember on the spot, and easy for the interviewer to keep in mind later when discussing you as a candidate; and
• How to use the framework to speak briefly about yourself, or at length.

You'll learn a formula you can use and adapt again and again for different jobs and interviews--or use consistently throughout your search. This session includes your lunch and lots of time to practice, and you'll leave with a good start on a personal message that will help you articulate your achievements in interviews, letters and other materials.
