You will learn from Cornell McClellan, Fitness Consultant and Personal Trainer to the First Family of the United States, how to Take the First Step to a Healthy Work/Life Balance. He will illustrate how fitness can be achieved through a holistic approach that enhances the mind, strengthens the body, and nurtures the spirit.

Television's "Biggest Loser" participants, Jeremy (winner) and Conda Britt (3rd), will also be featured speakers throughout the day. They will share their experiences on the hit television show as well as relay personal journeys and challenges of family dynamics. They will also address the emotional and psychological changes that come with weight loss.

  • TURN-KEY WELLNESS. In this provider panel presentation, you will learn how local insurance companies package wellness to make it easier for you to engage a healthier employee! Panel members are from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Priority Health, and Grand Valley Health Plan.
  • HELP ME! WHO'S OUT THERE FOR YOU? Community Resources.
    Our panel of community specialists will help point you in the right direction. Panelists include representatives from Saint Mary's Health Care (gastric bypass surgeon), Allegro Coaching, the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids, and the Mental Health Foundation.
  • MOVING FROM YO-YO TO PERMANENCE. Weight Loss Resources.
    Successful weight loss is a life long journey. Our panel will discuss their challenges and answer your questions. Panelists will include Jeremy and Conda Britt, of television's "Biggest Loser," a representative from Weight Watchers, and Cari Hartman, of the Joy Fit Club from the Today Show.
  • GETTING REAL WITH FOOD. Local and Fresh Resources.
    Chef Bryan Nader, Sous Chef at Saint Mary's Health Care, explores and shares tips on using locally sourced and sustainable foods to help make "healthy foods" delicious.

This event includes Continental Breakfast and Lunch.
