THE HEADS NETWORK: New Member School Process
Dear Prospective Member School:
We are so pleased you are interested in membership in The Heads Network. Our mission of supporting girls education and promoting women in leadership in our independent schools is important for all students. Through the two Women's Leadership Seminars per year and an Annual Meeting, this association is vibrant and pertinent to our work as independent schools.
Criteria for membership in The Heads Network is as follows:
Schools must be a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Canadian Independent Accreded School Association (CAIS), or be currently accredited by one of the member NAIS accreditng bodies or by one of the six federally recognized school/college accrediting bodies.
The Process for Membership is as follows:
1. Complete the School Membership Application by registering below.
2. Submit school documents: one with the mission, philosophy, and statement on curriculum AND a document or list of professional organzations to which the school belongs to the Executive Director, Margaret 'Sissy' Wade electronically: swade@headsnetwork.org
3. Contact and have a current member of The Heads Network submit an email of support for your membership to swade@headsnetwork.org. Click here for a list of current School Members.
4. Once all materials are submitted and Council approval has been obtained, we will welcome you to The Heads Network and have you complete the Annual Information Form and remit your yearly dues.
Again, we are so very pleased to have your school apply for membership and look forward to welcoming you and working with you in support of our mission and on behalf of the students in our schools.
