 Stacey Henderson - MSc OT, B Ed, B Kin  Occupational Therapist  

Building on strategies for occupational therapists to address elder abuse/mistreatment, the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists Workbook, offers a curriculum for inter-professional health care providers to learn about indicators of elder abuse, prevention, assessment and intervention protocols, relevant legislation and available resources.

This training workshop will provide participants with new, practical tools and skills to increase the awareness and prevention of elder abuse though interactive case study application.

Speaker Background 

Stacey Henderson is an occupational therapist who works for Hamilton Health Sciences on the Integrated Stroke Unit. She's had experience working in acute medicine, orthopedics and community care. She also works as a Problem Based Tutor for the MSc Occupational Therapy program at McMaster University. Prior to her life s an OT, she earned her Bacelor of Education and spent a year teaching English in Shikoku, Japan.
