Continuing Education Workshop
The Intersection of Land Use, Communities, & Social Equity

This workshop will explore neighborhood and community revitalization, as well as access to affordable housing. We will highlight the successes and difficulties of one project in particular, known as "61 Hills", a neighborhood west of downtown Anderson, SC. More broadly, the intersection between land use, communities, and social equity will also be explored.

The May 3rd presentation is part of a larger educational series stemming from the Shaping our Future Growth Alternatives Analysis, an eye-opening study released by Upstate Forever in 2017 in partnership with Ten at the Top and the Riley Institute at Furman University.
This workshop has received approval for 1.5 hours of continuing education by the South Carolina Planning Education Advisory Committee.
Additional workshops will be offered over the course of the year to allow an opportunity to earn additional continuing education hours.
